A YEAR OF FUN

motion graphic designer

The task was to increase the customer lifetime for the subscription, specifically encouraging customers to take out 6 or 12 monthly subscriptions. I was tasked with developing adverts that would sell the idea of toucanBox as a journey that customers would stick with throughout the year, rather than it being a one off product. I decided motion would be a great way to communicate the idea of one box, many experiences. 

An early storyboard pitched to the marketing acquisition team showing the concept of a box exploding with different crafts then transitioning to lifestyle imagery showing the same child playing with multiple crafts, to get across the idea that toucanBox provides lots of different adventures for your child throughout the year. The marketing team liked this concept, though we further adapted it so it didn't zoom in and out of each lifestyle image of the child as this felt too slow for a video shown on social media and therefore unnceccessary.

These ads (in different
formats, lengths and languages) ran as paid social media adverts regularly on Instagram and Facebook throughout 2023 in the UK, France and Germany. Despite a tough year for business, in this year we did reach our goal of improving the customer lifetime at toucanBox, attracting more quality customers who stayed with

us for longer.
